Trust & Safety

Housing decisions should feel informed, not uncertain.

Finding somewhere to live comes with questions.

Is the place actually available? Does it look like the photos? What will I really pay? Where exactly is it? Who am I dealing with?

Comrade Kejani is built to make those questions easier to answer.

We work to make housing information clearer, help students communicate with landlords, and give people a place to turn when something does not look right.

What trust means to us

Trust is not just putting a badge on a listing.

It comes from giving people better information, encouraging clear communication, and making it easier to ask questions before making a housing decision.

We focus on:

  • Clear information — listings should provide useful details about the property, rent, location, and amenities.
  • Accountability — students and landlords should know who they are communicating with and what has been represented about a property.
  • Transparency — important rental information should be easy to understand before a student commits.
  • Support — when something goes wrong or feels unclear, there should be a clear way to ask for help.

Before you pay or move in

Take a moment to confirm the details that matter.

Check the property, confirm the rent and any additional costs, understand the rental terms, and make sure you know the move-in arrangements.

Whenever possible, view the property before making a commitment. Keep important messages, payment records, and rental information for your own records.

And never feel pressured to send money simply because someone says you have to act immediately.

Something doesn't look right?

Trust your instincts.

A listing that changes unexpectedly, a payment request that does not match the agreed terms, misleading information, or communication that makes you uncomfortable is worth questioning.

Report concerns to the Comrade Kejani team and provide the listing, relevant messages, dates, screenshots, or other information that can help us understand what happened.

We review reported concerns and take appropriate action based on the circumstances.

Our role

Comrade Kejani provides the platform that helps students discover accommodation and connect with landlords.

We work to keep information useful and the experience clear, but a listing on the platform should not be treated as a guarantee of a particular property, landlord, rental outcome, or living experience.

Students should review the available information, ask questions, and make decisions that are right for them.

For landlords

Trust works both ways.

Landlords help create a better marketplace by keeping property information accurate, responding clearly to enquiries, and communicating rental terms honestly.

Accurate listings make it easier for students to understand what they are considering and help landlords attract people who are genuinely looking for the right kind of place.

When you need us

Our team can help with questions about listings, communication, and issues that arise during the housing journey.

When contacting support, include as much relevant information as possible so we can understand the situation and determine the appropriate next step.

For immediate danger or an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service first.

Better information. Better decisions. Safer student living.
